Can’t say I’ve done it but I do know of the regional airline Tropic Air.
I think it would be difficult to do on the same day given your later arrival time in Cancun. But if you can can cover the distance from Cancun to Corozal before 5:30 you can catch the last flight from Corozal to San Pedro.
If money is no object then you might contact the second people and see what they would charge.

Well…its about 6 hours by bus to the border and another 2 into Belize city, so there is no way you will make it the same day by road.
If you really need to be there the same day, then you ought to catch the new airline flight from Cancun to Belize City run by the local Belize airline called MayaIsland Air. They just started service from Cancun to Belize.
Do a google search for MayaIsland Air Regional and they should pop up. Take a flight from Cancun to Belize City, and you can either then take another flight into San Pedro or take a water taxi.
If not, then you will have to arrive to San Pedro the following day.
You can take the bus from Cancun to Chetumal (likely stopping in Playa Del Carmen)
Once in Chetumal you take a transfer service or a cab across the border to Corozal Belize and catch a plane to Ambergris Caye.

You can take a bus from Cancún to Chetumal (the capital of Quintana Roo south of Cancún. From there you can get to San Pedro.
