Very long and tiring drive, one day, if you wake up at the crack of dawn. Be sure to look around Guatemala, very beautiful country. Actually, there’s lots of mountains there, and it not like the US, where you can just hop on the highway.
As said in other answers, it is not a long drive and can be done withing daylight hours in one day. I have not done the whole drive, but can tell you that at least the northern half of the trip is on a good highway.
Not sure about the distance but if you are planning to rent a car and drive, Check that the car rental company will let you take the car out of the country.
