How Long A Drive Is It From Belize City To Cancun? Is It An Easy Drive? ?
It actually may be about a six hour drive. I live in Chetumal and it takes about 4 or 5 hours from there to Cancun and from Chetumal to Belize City is about another hour.
Also if you drive then you will need to gas up in Chetumal then the only other gas station is in Felipe De Carrillo Puerto That’s about your halfway point to Cancun. Also if your hungry there is usually a lady selling tacos at the pemex in Felipe De Carrillo Puerto and they are great!
It’s only around 300 miles. So, you are looking at around a five hour drive and it’s not a very hard or tiring drive. Good luck!!!
I can’t believe the person who lives in Chetumal and claims there are no gas stations between Felipe Carillo Puerto and Cancun. Nonsense! There are two in Tulum and several between Tulum and Cancun. Also, please note that the last time we crossed the border from Belize to Mexico (at Chetumal), it took well over an hour. Factor that in. Plus, as far as I’m concerned, there’s no such thing as “only” when talking about mileage in Mexico.
