Scuba, snorkeling, cayes, Caribbean sea, multilingual, safer, small, cave tubing, more expensive = Belize Volcanoes, mountains, white water rafting, volcanic sand beaches, lakes, cultures, Spanish, cheaper = Guatemala Rainforest, spelunking, fauna, flora, Mayan ruins, archeological sites, national parks = both (Guatemala & Belize) Have fun and a great experience! But Guatemala is prettier, it is poo hell hole but there is a lot to do and the country is really beautifull and the weather is perfect.. The scuba diving is fantastic, most of the people speak english, the infrastructure is far ahead of that of Guatemala. You can travel both countries easily and inexpensively by bus. Of course you can't take a bus from the Dominican Republic.
