First, I think Farmerbud should have stayed home.
Ok…well there are lots to do, and lots to see and enjoy for someone visiting.
You can try canoing in the Cayo district on one of the rivers, it is extremely peaceful and beautiful. You can go snorkeling or diving off the coast along the reef. You can try tree top rapelling. In the rain forest you can go from tree top to tree top on special harnesses.
Hmmm. what else??? You can of course visit one of the larger MAyan ruins. Horseback riding, bird watching, camping….depends on what you like..
1. The pickpockets at the Belize City bus station. They work in pairs. YOu will think that having your cash wadded up in your hand, stuffed frimly inside your pocket, will protect you. You are not prepared for one fellow spitting on your arm and the other reaching into your pocket and separating you from your money when you reflexively jerk your arm out of your pocket.
2. The open sewers in Orange Walk Town, especially if it has not rained in a while and the feces sits on the curb.
3. Also in Orange Walk Town, the Gynecologist office, a rotting wood building with a greasy fat guy in a wife beater undershirt smoking cigarettes and hanging out on the porch.
