Are October Or November Good Months Weather-wise To Vacation In Belize? What About February?

We are planning a vacation in Belize (scuba diving, etc) and are wondering if there are months that you shouldn’t go, i.e. hurricanes, too hot, too much rain, too many bugs, etc. Does anyone have experience with travel to Belize? Thanks!!

We have been in Belize for about 2 years and do work for the tourist industry. The tourist usually start heading down this way in October-November with December being a very busy month. Once you get into January then you can run into the rainy season where there are days of rain with little to no stop. Based on what I have heard I would head down in November – cooler, no much rain, hurricane season is over, etc.
Take care and have a great time in Belize – the people are wonderful down here.

I went in early March and stayed one a caye. It rained for 2 days and was sunny and 85 degrees the other 6 days. Even the rainy days were still nice. We had a wonderful relaxing trip and highly recommend Belize. I also know someone who went to another caye in November and encountered pretty good weather as well. Atlantic hurricane season typically runs from June 1 to November 30 but August, Sept, and Oct are the riskiest months. On the plus side, Belize has been relatively spared by hurricanes.
